Georgia is a small kiteboarding scene — the coast is short and the wind less reliable than the Carolinas or Florida — but the Savannah-area barrier islands hide genuinely fun sessions when a sea breeze or front lines up. Rather than pad this out, here are the spots that actually work.
Savannah Coast
1. Tybee Island
The heart of Georgia kiteboarding. Wide beaches at low tide, a summer sea breeze, and back-river flats give options depending on wind direction. Mind swimmers and marked zones in season, and check the tide — the beach shrinks fast on a high. A Freeride twin-tip suits the flats well.
